Custom stern gear and rudders
Poseidon designs and manufactures custom designed stern gear and rudder installations.
We do this not only for standard ships and for ships where no standard solution fits. We also design systems for ships where special characteristics of the vessel are needed or use of a special installation is required.
What can you expect of Poseidon and what is possible:
- each component designs in 3-D (Solid Edge)
- shaft and rudder systems designed in each type and material
- by the standards of any classification society provide
- torsion vibration calculations, axial whirling
- total installation of the equipment
- inspection of the installed installation and proper alignment.
The entire design and manufacturing are done in close collaboration with the client, the shipyard and the designer.
